Mission Statement:

The Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals (AHMP) was established in 1985 (formally the Academy of Hazardous Materials Managers) and is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to fostering professional development through continuing education, peer group interaction, the exchange of ideas and information relating to environmental, health, safety and security management.

Value of Membership:

The Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) created the CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) credential. Additionally they have created the HMMT (Hazardous Materials Manager-In-Training credential and the CHMP (Certified Hazardous Materials Practitioner) credential. These credentials represent only the beginning of a career long journey for a hazardous materials professional.
